Eco-friendly materials and methods
We're passionate about our planet. We take our social responsibility very seriously. We use eco-friendly materials wherever we can, things like natural vegetable dyes and recycled paper.
'Poppies Recycles, re-uses, disposes of materials carefully'
Here's some of the ways we support social responsibility:
Recycling paper & packaging waste for 'junk art' projects Using FSC, eco friendly and recycled products Phasing out petroleum based crayonsRe-using aprons & table coveringsFairtrade cotton uniform t-shirtsSpecial eco projects promote awareness: 3d sculpture, wall hangings, giant collages, paper mache and more! Collaborating closely with clients on workshop-related green ideasLocal/ UK suppliers reduce our carbon footprint & stimulate the economy Promoting healthy eating
Fun, green, great value!
As well as delivering great fun and great value for money, we're raising money for Julia’s House children's charity and Macmillan.
Awareness and fundraising:
'Kubella' the mosaic elephant raised a stunning £25k for The Elephant Family at auction! The London Elephant Parade raised over £4 million for elephants and wildlife awareness and conservation.
Poppies has also mosaiced lions for 'Pride in Bournemouth' within the community. See their stories - follow this link.
'Loved it all, it's a very social activity. We worked well together and learnt more about our strengths as a team. Creating something collectively is very rewarding. More please!' Mrs. McKinney
