Everyday Social Responsibility

Eco-friendly materials and methods

We're passionate about our planet. We take our social responsibility very seriously. We use eco-friendly materials wherever we can, things like natural vegetable dyes and recycled paper.

Recent eco-focused projects

•Creating a Knowledge Tree from supermarket packaging

•Building a cardboard city from recycled household boxes

•Making Noah's Ark and papier mache animals from recycled cardboard boxes and newspaper and our family of recycled giant box robots!

Recycled, re-used, disposed of carefully

Poppies recycles as much as humanly possible. We re-use materials and when we need to dispose of them, we do so properly. Here's some of the ways we support social responsibility:

•Recycling paper & household waste for 'junk art' projects

•Using FSC, eco friendly and recycled products

•Phasing out petroleum based crayons

•Re-using aprons & table coverings

•Fairtrade cotton uniform Tshirts

•Special eco projects promote awareness: 3d sculpture, wall hangings, giant collages, paper mache and more!

•Collaborating closely with clients on workshop-related green ideas

•Everyday measures like providing daily fresh water for birds and planting wildlife friendly plants

•E-brochures reduce our printing & paper consumption

•Local/ UK suppliers reduce our carbon footprint & stimulate the economy

•Promoting healthy eating with fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables... delicious!

Fun, green, great value!

As well as delivering great fun and great value for money, we're raising money for Julia’s House children's charity: we make a donation for every booking.

'Loved it all, it's a very social activity. We worked well together and learnt more about our strengths as a team. Creating something collectively is very rewarding. More please!' Mrs. McKinney
